This is the best BBQ restaurant I've found in London yet. It is the most authentic "Texas" experience you could ask for. It genuinely is run by a chap called Joe, and he's the biggest legend going. You'll often find Joe's super long American car parked outside, just in case you thought you had come to the wrong place. Joe is often found walking through the restaurant with his cowboy hat. The staff here are always friendly and accommodating. Onto the food – you better be hungry. Texas Joe's is all about slow cooked meats, and they don't do things in halves – the portions are huge! If eating with a partner, then I highly recommend the Brisket, the fries, and the house salad. That is likely enough for two fully grown adults. If you're feeling adventurous though then get a meal to yourself – perhaps that makes sense if you have been fasting for a week. The brisket nachos are also a great starter, and the mac and cheese is a filling but incredibly tasty side. I recommend the fries over the sweet potato fries here – the normal fries are perfection and come with a delicious sauce to dip into. Everything is served on trays, and there's a selection of classic American beers, and lots of typically American soft drinks like cream soda and root beer. Yee ha!

The beef short rib was super moist and delicious. Unfortunately, the other meat we had (pork shoulder, mutton shoulder and brisket) on this occasion was pretty dry and disappointing. All of our sides and cocktails were delicious but overall when you come to a BBQ you expect all of the meat to be on point...

Okay BBQ places. I found the pork belly and the daily special steak tasty. The brisket beef however is not that great hence I have to rate this review down by one star.

Amazing BBQ!! The atmosphere is very Texas style and the food is great and not to expensive. I really recommend you to visit this place.

This is the best BBQ i have had outside of the US. I have been back every week since discovering this place, it is that good. The only thing i wish they changed would be to offer combo platters, as the regular portions are too big to take more than one, meaning if you want to try it all you have to come multiple times! (not a bad thing trust me). Also, sausages! Tube shaped meats always win! Edit: Two years on, i am changing my 5 star review to 2 stars. Things have changed for the worst here... Although i live around the corner i have stopped going and stopped ordering from there. The quality of the meat isn't the same, and most importantly they don't smoke it as long as they used to. Nowadays you will barely see a smoke ring on your meat. The ribs are tough and chewy, the brisket isn't trimmed properly and is super greasy because the fat doesn't have time to render out during the short smoking time. After binning my last three orders because they were inedible, i have decided to not come back to Texas Joe's, it is a sad day.
